To Richard Brautigan

"All of us have a place in history. Mine is clouds."
To celebrate the birthday of the late great writer Richard Brautigan, Susan Tomaselli of Dogmatika has commissioned a series of articles, stories and poems in his honour, proving that even the mild inconvenience of being dead for 20 odd years can't keep a good man down. Check it out here.
Amongst those paying tribute are Peter Wild of Bookmunch renown, Lily Pond, Rob Mclennan, poet, playwright and friend of Brautigan's Greg Keeler, Ben Myers, DB Cox and Joseph Ridgwell.
They've kindly included my article Borrowing the Light.

I chanced upon a Rebel Inc copy of "The Confederate General of Big Sur" back before the adult world had broken me and it opened my eyes to a whole alternative history of literature, leading to a slow descent into the gutter...
Don't let that put you off, Brautigan remains an inspiration for a new generation of writers that were barely born when he took his own life. Check out his writing if you haven't already and raise a glass to the man if you have.
